West African Examination Council, WAEC Makes NIN Compulsory For Exam Registration

WAEC Makes NIN Compulsory For Exam Registration

The usage of NIN will be made mandatory for candidate registration, according to WAEC. This means that individuals registering for the upcoming West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) would be asked to present their NIN.

The Head of WAEC made this information public. Candidates should make sure they have their National Identification Number (NIN) ready because they will not be able to enrol for subsequent exams unless they have it.

“This means that all prospective candidates must register with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and get their National Identification Number (NIN). This is in line with the Federal Government’s Policy, as directed by the Federal Ministry of Education. ”
